For some, growing up can be a mere act of survival. Unfortunately, survival is the exact goal of many young girls in Rockford. Survival mode looks different on each girl, but at the core, many girls face the same problems: poverty, abuse, homelessness, incarcerated parents, lack of access to education or educated adults and most importantly, lack of opportunity. KFACT is changing the lives of girls in the Rockford area – girls who without KFACT, may be living a very different story.
